Who Am I, & Why Am I Here? (Blogging 101)...
As I look over the previous 53 years & ponder this question - one constant has always been, "I want to help people." Then came the "How?" Then the "neglecting my own needs to help EVERYONE!!!" THEN the realizing "I
am only ONE person, & CANNOT help everyone." Then the feeling of failure, crashing & burning. Followed by the 20-ish years of crawling, removing my head from my...posterior; to finally walk upright & figure out HOW I can help. I have not
been alone on this journey - God is always there, of course; but He has provided me with incredible friends, many who "knew me when" (& STILL love me!!!) I have always joked with my counselor, "I want to be you, when I grow up." Well, through the "magic"
of hard work & determination, I am now an active mentor for survivors of abuse from a variety of sources. Blogging is another way I feel I can help. I read alot of Erma Bombeck, growing up. She took alot of everyday struggles, & shone a light on them,
so they weren't so scary to look at. Alot of the time when talking to people, I go "Auto-Metaphor". One of my favorites regarding the living of life, is "JusT SpInnIng PlaTes"...every situation brings with it another "plate". Sometimes trying to keep them
all spinning on the pole wears a person down. We can't really spin another person's plate, because we're all unique, with our own "touch"; but we CAN encourage them to keep going, & put them on the poles & get them spinning again,& support them
when their plates crash. Have a good day & be safe...
