Peer Support...
I have been writing "Peer Support Movement" in my daily planner, EVERY day, for months.
I think it would be a community of Peers supporting each other in the trenches of life. To be honest, we all have as many commonalities, as we do differences;
yet, especially right now, we have been trying to deal with even MORE issues, physically alone.
We have to keep the mindset that even though we have been physically separated; we ARE NOT alone. This type of separation is unprecedented..
In spite of "it", normal daily struggles have continued. I've noticed a good bit of support, overall. What saddens me, is that as each "group" (ie - essential workers, restaurants, hair stylists, teachers, etc), has moved to their "Launch Pad", so to
speak; people have been hateful, telling them to "suck it up", or "now you know how we felt", etc. Where's the compassion gone??!
That's what I would like to see with a "Peer Support Movement". It really covers ALL of what's going on, especially
these days.
What do YOU think "Peer Support" would/could/should look like? I would be very interested to hear your take on it. Please message me here, on the website; shoot me a message on the JSP... Facebook page; or email me at beamererin@yahoo.com.
Thank you, have a good day, and be safe... #2020seeclearly beamererin.com
