Domestic Violence Cliche of the Day - "Why don't you just leave? I wouldn't put up with it...". Hmmmmmmm...

I have been a Domestic Violence advocate for years. Recently, it came to the top of my to-do list to create a blog. The title comes from being a survivor of childhood trauma, myself; & the day-to-day attempt to keep everything looking "situation normal". After awhile, you're going from "plate to plate", so to speak, trying to keep them from crashing, & creating a bigger mess of your life. EX-HAUSTING!!! I have been in the healing process, actively, for over 20 years. I AM BY NO MEANS AN EXPERT!!! I just want to be a "safe place" for people to share their frustration (not necessarily a "dumping ground"), & try & come up with a feasible "plan of attack". I am operating under the umbrella of my counselor & their counseling ministry of approximately 25 years. "Until the pain to stay the same becomes greater than the pain to change, I will stay the same." (DKH) I believe in the power of God, but beat NO ONE over the head with Him...
