Living for Someone Else's Ego... (Connie J...)

I heard this discussion on the morning news, recently. The man, in the last 8 years, had worked very hard on his life. Going from nearly dying on the streets, and his Mother, tearfully, telling him she didn't want him involved in her life, anymore; to one of the hottest chefs/entrepreneurs in the D.C. area.

He said one of his business "secrets" was not making himself, OR anyone else live for "His Ego".

This got me thinking about my personal knowledge of Domestic Violence. My Mother, and we kids, basically, lived to feed my Father's ego.

I see it in just about every Domestic Violence Victim I speak to.

The perpetrator's ego, in my opinion, is at the heart of every narcissist's "toolkit"; and boy, do they know how to utilize it!!!

I ask you to look at your relationships, and see if you're living for someone else's ego? Is this really sustainable; or are there changes that need to be made?

Have a good day, and be safe... #listen #ibelieveyou #doyouhear

*October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Please share this post, no matter. what month it is, to help get the word out. The Victim has to make the choice - but, "What If..." they read something you sent them, and it just "clicks"?

*I share a "What If..." post on the first Monday, of every month, and I would love the opportunity to share YOUR "what ifs". Please send your "What If..." ideas to Connie J... - beamererin@yahoo.com; or through Ozer, at the website or email, ozerministries@att.net.
