Choosing the Lessons You Teach... (Connie J..)
...to your children:
Are you going to teach them, by demonstration, how a woman doesn't have to go through life being less of a person than she is?
Are you going to teach them, by demonstration, how a respectable person treats their significant other?
Are you going to demonstrate the basics of Honesty, Integrity, Responsibility, Commitment and Truth?
Are you going to teach them that positive AND negative choices may still have some sort of consequence; but you need to do the right thing, anyway?
Are you going to teach them that even if you make what seems to be the most horrific mistakes a human can make, there is still a chance for redemption?
Are you going to be honest with them that you truly are doing the best you can, and still trying to learn, yourself?
And finally, are you going to teach them that even if you love that other person, you do not have to tolerate ANY form of disrespect from them?
What other ideas do you have to teach your children?
Have a good day, and be safe... #listen #ibelieveyou #doyouhear
*October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Please share this post, no matter what month it is, to help get the word out. The Victim has to make the choice - but, "What If..." they read something you sent them, and it just "clicks"?
*I share a "What If..." post on the first Monday, of every month, and I would love the opportunity to share YOUR "what ifs". Please send your "What If..." ideas to Connie J... - firstname.lastname@example.org; or through Ozer, at the website or email, email@example.com.
